Summaries

1. The Frightened Lady: Helen Stoner goes to ask Sherlock Holmes for help, she explains him her story and what's the matter. The story is about her twin sister Julia and Helen when they were babies and when their father died. When their father died, their mum was married with Grimesby. 2. A Mysterious Death: Julia's death was strange: Two years ago, Julia got engaged, the night before the wedding, she went to Helen's room to talk to her, she said that she heard strange noises. At 3.00 a.m, Helen heard screams, so she went to Julia's room and Julia said:"It was the band! The spackled band!!", and she died. 3. Helen's Fears: Helen thinks that the person who kills her sister, was her stepfather because he went to prison once. Helen's stepfather is doing some repairs to the house, and he is making to use her the room where Julia died. Sherlock Holmes think that it's interesting, so he meets her this afternoon in her house. 4. An Angry Visitor: When Sherlock Holmes went to Helen and Julia's house, he find their stepfather in it, so Sherlock Holmes made it out of the house, then, Sherlock Holmes went to meet Julia. 5. A Strange Room: They get into the house and went to Helen's room, Sherlock Holmes found something: -The rope for calling servants it isn't real, there isn't a bell, just a hook next to the ventilator. -The bed's fastened to the floor. -The ventilator doesn't ventilate. Sherlock Holmes must examine Dr.Roylott's room. 6. More Strange Clues: In Dr.Roylott's room there is a saucer of milk on the floor, a safe near the saucer of milk, a strange stick, a chair whose someone have been standing on it... Sherlock Holmes thinks that he know it, but he want to go now before Dr.Roylott returns. 7. The signal: Sherlock Holmes and Watson, his assistant, will watch Helen's house and when her stepfather goes to bed, she have to send they a signal, she will have to put a lamp in a window and then, she have to go to her old room and lock the door. Meanwhile they wait Helen's signal, they talk about the mystery and how he kills her. Finally, they saw Helen's signal. 8. The Beast in the Garden: They went to Helen's house and they climb up to get in. Watson hears a strange noise, but Sherlock tells him that it doesen't matter. Watson saw a beast and they get scared. 9. Danger in the Dark: Finally, they get into the house and three hours later, the light goes on and they went to Roylott's room. 10. The case is closed: Sherlock Holmes think that the case is closed, they enter to Roylott's room and... his plan to kill Helen has caused his own death! In the safe, there was a swamp adder, the deadliest snake in India. -The snake moving was the clanging sound the girls heard -The whistling was Roylott calling the snake -Roylott wants to kill the girls to stop they getting their mother's money when they married.
